Laboratory Detection for Antiplatelet Therapy
Low responsiveness to antiplatelet drugs is an emer-ging clinical entity with potentially severe consequences such as recurrent myocardial infaction or death, but the pathophysiological mechanism of individual inadequate response remain incompletely defined. In recent years, the issue of resistance to antiplatelet agents, in particular aspirin and thienopyridines, has been largely emphasized in the medical literature.
